يوم الاثنين، خرج طلاب وأعضاء هيئة تدريس من عدة جامعات في هولندا، احتجاجاً على العمليات العسكرية الإسرائيلية في قطاع غزة. في عاصمة البلاد، دخل المتظاهرون مبنى جامعة أمستردام، وأقاموا خيامًا، وبنوا حواجز باستخدام أثاث المكاتب. بلغت الجامعة عن تعدي وتخريب وطلبت تدخل الشرطة. قرر رئيس بلدية أمستردام ورئيس الشرطة والمدعي العام إرسال قوات الشرطة التي تهدف لتفريق احتجاجات الحرم الجامعي واستعادة النظام، كما أفاد متحدث باسم العمدة لوسائل الإعلام الهولندية. لا يُعرف كمية الاعتقالات التي تمت. كما شهدت الجامعات الهولندية الأخرى في غروننجن ونايميخن وأوترخت وفاغينينغن وليدن احتجاجات مشابهة. وقد انتشرت احتجاجات الطلاب بشكل متزايد عبر أوروبا، عقب إجراءات مماثلة في جامعات الولايات المتحدة حيث انتشرت عدة معسكرات.
