The Jets are back in the quarterback market … again.

Gang Green got two years out of Aaron Rodgers after making a big swing for the future Hall of Famer in 2023. That trade worked out like many of their quarterback moves over the past four decades — poorly.

So now it is up to new general manager Darren Mougey and coach Aaron Glenn to try to solve the Jets’ quarterback riddle that has flummoxed so many of their predecessors. Their first big decision was to move on from Rodgers, and he is expected to be officially released on March 12, when the new league year begins.

There was plenty of chatter and speculation last week at the NFL Scouting Combine about what the Jets might do, but no one seems quite sure what direction the Jets are going in.
