We’ve got a real quarterback’s duel on our hands.

The NFL’s two leading MVP candidates — Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson — are going head-to-head in what will likely be a heated Bills vs. Ravens AFC Divisional Round game at Buffalo’s Highmark Stadium on Sunday, Jan. 19 at 6:30 p.m.

“This is like one of the best games of the decade,” Bill Simmons said on X (formerly Twitter). “I’m so excited for it.”

Coming into the high-stakes showdown, Sean McDermott’s 13-4 Bills are holding their heads high after manhandling the Broncos 31-7 in the Wild Card round. Allen threw for 272 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Running back James Cook rushed for 120 yards and got an end zone score of his own in as well.

“I don’t think there was one certain thing over another. We just wanted to come out and execute well,” Allen said. “At the end of the day, we just wanted to come out and play our best football, and I feel like we did that today.”

John Harbaugh’s Ravens — coming off a four-game win streak to end the 2024 season — also executed well in Wild Card weekend and handily defeated the Steelers, their AFC North rivals, by a score of 28-14. Jackson completed 16-of-21 passes for 175 yards and two TDs. Derrick Henry rushed for two scores as well to complement his torrid 26 carry, 186-yard effort.

“I can just hand the ball off — 10 yards, 20 yards, 30 yards and I’m just chilling,” Jackson said. “When they’re attacking [Henry] and I go, I’m fresh. Just making my job a lot easier. We just piggy-back off of each other.”

As of now, last-minute tickets to see the AFC giants (and their star signal callers) duke it out in the Divisional Round are still available.

About the Bills vs. Ravens matchup

In the 2024 season, Buffalo and Baltimore met just once.

On Sept. 29, the two AFC heavyweights went head-to-head at M&T Bank Stadium.

After an even-handed first quarter, Baltimore ran away with the game and never looked back. They ended up winning 35-10.

Still, “that Sept. 29 game is relatively irrelevant heading into Sunday’s much-anticipated Ravens-Bills rematch in the divisional round,” the Baltimore Ravens claimed. “For starters, the Bills will be at home, where they are unbeaten (9-0 including the playoffs) and have won by an average margin of 17.4 points.”

Regardless of that information, the New York Post gives the Ravens a -1 (-115) advantage.

“This line is close enough to pick’em status that it could flip again,” the Post added.

How to watch the Bills vs. Ravens Wild Card game
