Amazon is introducing a new storefront called Amazon Haul, targeted at offering a variety of products priced at $20 and under to compete with discount retailers like Shein and TikTok Shop. This new mobile-only shopping experience on Amazon’s app and mobile website will include fashion, home, electronics, and lifestyle products. Despite Amazon’s reputation for fast delivery, items purchased through Amazon Haul will take one to two weeks to be delivered.

Dharmesh Mehta, the vice president of Worldwide Selling Partner Services at Amazon, stated that finding products at very low prices is important to customers, and they are working with selling partners to provide items at ultra-low prices. Amazon will ensure the safety and authenticity of products offered through Haul, and all items will be covered by the company’s A-to-z Guarantee for damaged, defective, or inaccurately described products. The shopping experience will include a dedicated search, cart, and checkout, with items priced at $20 or less, the majority being $10 and under, and some items as low as $1.

Customers will have the option of free returns on all Haul purchases over $3 within 15 days of delivery. CNBC reported that Amazon is able to offer these low prices through Haul by importing products directly from manufacturers in China. Shein, a popular online fashion retailer known for affordable trendy items, has seen significant growth and competition from TikTok parent company ByteDance, which has now established office space in Amazon’s hometown of Bellevue, Washington.

Amazon Haul is rolling out in beta to U.S. customers and will be available once they update their Amazon Shopping app. The new storefront aims to offer a wide range of products priced at $20 and under in response to the increasing competition from discount retailers like Shein, TikTok Shop, and Temu. This mobile-only platform on Amazon’s app and mobile website will feature categories such as fashion, home, electronics, lifestyle, and more, with delivery times ranging from one to two weeks for Haul items.
