The Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI) in Seattle is hosting a new exhibit called “Towers of Tomorrow with LEGO Bricks,” featuring recreations of iconic skyscrapers from around the world built entirely out of LEGO bricks. The exhibit, opened to the public on Saturday, showcases 18 buildings at a scale of 1:200, created by Ryan McNaught, also known as “The Brickman,” one of only 21 LEGO Certified Professionals globally. The structures, including famous landmarks such as the Burj Khalifa, Empire State Building, and Petronas Twin Towers, are meticulously detailed and constructed using over half a million LEGO bricks.
Visitors to the exhibit can marvel at the miniature skyscrapers and learn about both the history of LEGO and architectural developments worldwide. The exhibit encourages hands-on interaction, with more than 200,000 loose LEGO bricks available for visitors to test their own building skills in special build areas. MOHAI Executive Director Leonard Garfield described the exhibit as a fun and engaging experience, allowing visitors to explore concepts of design, modularity, grammar, and creativity through the world of LEGO.
