Newly released messages from the House Ways and Means Committee suggest that Hunter Biden arranged a meeting in New York City in 2017 between the CEO of a Chinese energy company and his father, former Vice President Joe Biden, as well as his brother, Jim Biden. The exchanges between Hunter and the CEO, Yadong Liu, indicate that they were trying to schedule a meeting while Joe Biden was in New York for a Sandy Hook memorial service. Despite efforts to arrange the meeting, it is unclear if it actually took place.

Shortly after the proposed meeting, Hunter Biden messaged Yadong, asking for a report from a meeting in China. Yadong responded, saying that due to legal challenges, they could not move forward with any projects at that time. This setback led to discussions about potential future collaborations once legal uncertainties were resolved. The messages released by the House Ways and Means Committee also included a photo of Yadong’s business card, indicating his position as the CEO of CEFC Global Strategic Holdings, a Chinese energy company.

The connection between Hunter Biden, his family, and CEFC executives has raised concerns about possible conflicts of interest and influence. Hunter Biden’s former business partner claimed that Joe Biden had met with CEFC executives, including Chairman Ye Jianming, during a visit to a Washington, D.C. hotel. This meeting, which included discussions with Hunter Biden about potential collaborations, has fueled speculation about the extent of Joe Biden’s involvement in his son’s business dealings and relationships with foreign entities.

President Biden has repeatedly denied any knowledge of his son’s foreign business dealings and has asserted that he did not discuss business matters with his son. However, records indicate that Biden met with many of Hunter Biden’s business associates, both foreign and domestic. The House Oversight Committee released a report noting that Joe Biden interacted with numerous foreign business associates of his son, raising questions about the extent of his involvement in Hunter Biden’s business activities.

Despite denials from President Biden, questions about potential conflicts of interest and influence peddling continue to surround the Biden family. Allegations of financial dealings with foreign entities, including those linked to the Chinese government, have raised concerns about the transparency and ethical standards of the Biden family. The House Ways and Means Committee’s release of messages involving Hunter Biden and a Chinese energy company executive further highlight the complexity of the Biden family’s business relationships.
