Anomaly, a gaming studio based in Zug, Switzerland, has recently announced the launch of the first AI-powered zero-gas Layer-3 gaming platform. This platform will target Telegram’s 900 million daily active users and will leverage technologies such as Arbitrum Orbit and Gelato’s Rollup-as-a-Service (RaaS) to create immersive decentralized gaming experiences. The Anomaly Layer-3 aims to streamline blockchain gaming UX by enabling user onboarding via social platforms and leveraging SocialFi for game monetization. The core of the new gaming layer is the Anomaly SDK, which offers advanced AI functionalities for matchmaking, decision-making, player model training, quest creation, and asset generation in Web3 gaming.

The Anomaly Layer-3 Orbit chain, powered by Arbitrum technology, offers a fast, secure, and scalable execution environment with a 250ms block time and near-instant transaction finality. It is capable of processing thousands of transactions per second, making it one of the fastest EVM Layer-3 rollups on the market. The chain features a native gas token, $nom, that facilitates smooth navigation between gaming realms. By implementing the Arbitrum Orbit tech stack, Anomaly addresses fundamental issues encountered by blockchain games and aims to provide a seamless gaming experience comparable to traditional games.

The Anomaly Layer-3 ecosystem offers a gasless user experience designed to mimic web2-like gameplay. It includes Gelato’s industry-standard web3 services such as Gelato Relayers, Web3 Functions, and VRF, which enable automated, immersive gaming experiences and provide on-chain randomness for fair gameplay. The chain also comes equipped with key infrastructure like the Blockscout block explorer and a canonical bridge UI serviced by Gelato, providing users with easy access to blockchain data and functionalities.

In collaboration with Gelato, Anomaly will leverage the latest Nodes-as-a-Service solution to enhance rollup security by selling verifier nodes and enabling community participation in securing Anomaly’s infrastructure. The platform will also offer a private sale of AI-based Node NFTs to early supporters on Telegram, focusing on building a community-driven ecosystem. Anomaly will make it easier for users to operate their node with cloud-based subscriptions that can be paid monthly directly within Telegram.

Anomaly’s approach to engaging with communities on platforms like Telegram, Discord, and Farcaster aims to provide in-platform gaming experiences that bypass onboarding challenges, simplify blockchain complexities, and offer gaming experiences comparable to web2 games. The studio focuses on harnessing AI and blockchain synergies to create immersive gaming experiences. The Arbitrum Foundation, Gelato, and other technology providers play key roles in enabling Anomaly to revolutionize the web3 gaming landscape and set new standards in interactive entertainment.
