Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice and SMU cornerback Teddy Knox are being sued for $1 million in damages by Edvard Petrovskiy and Irina Gromova, who were involved in a car crash in Dallas. The lawsuit, filed in Dallas County court, alleges that Rice was driving a Lamborghini Urus at 119 mph and Knox was driving a Chevrolet Corvette at 116 mph just moments before the collision on March 30. The victims suffered severe injuries, including brain trauma, lacerations, bruises, and internal bleeding. Despite the seriousness of the crash, the lawsuit claims that Rice, Knox, and other passengers walked away from the scene without assisting those injured.

Petrovskiy and Gromova are seeking damages for medical care, physical pain and suffering, mental anguish, and property damage. The lawsuit accuses Rice and Knox of intentionally evading assistance for the injured victims and leaving the scene without showing any support. Rice, 23, turned himself in to the Glenn Heights Police Department and is facing charges of aggravated assault, collision involving serious bodily injury, and collision involving injury. Knox, a sophomore at SMU, also turned himself in and is facing the same charges. He has been suspended from the football program but has not provided further comments.

Rice issued an apology taking full responsibility for his actions in the crash. He expressed his willingness to cooperate with the authorities and apologized to everyone affected by the accident. The lawsuit highlights the serious injuries suffered by Petrovskiy and Gromova as a result of the high-speed impact caused by Rice and Knox. The victims’ attorneys are seeking compensation for the physical and emotional trauma they have endured, as well as the property damage incurred. The lawsuit underscores the alleged negligence and lack of support shown by the defendants towards those injured in the crash.

The affidavit obtained by the Dallas Morning News revealed the exact speeds at which Rice and Knox were driving just before the collision, painting a picture of the recklessness that led to the severe injuries suffered by Petrovskiy and Gromova. The lawsuit accuses Rice and Knox of disregarding the well-being of the victims and failing to render aid in the aftermath of the crash. The legal proceedings in Dallas County court shed light on the consequences of their actions and the impact it has had on the lives of those involved. The case serves as a reminder of the importance of responsible behavior behind the wheel and the duty to assist others in times of need.

As the legal battle unfolds, the victims continue to seek justice and compensation for the harm they have endured. Petrovskiy and Gromova’s lawsuit against Rice and Knox highlights the seriousness of the injuries sustained in the crash and the alleged negligence and lack of compassion displayed by the defendants. The legal system will determine the appropriate course of action to hold the responsible parties accountable for their actions and provide the victims with the support they need to recover from the physical and emotional trauma inflicted upon them. The outcome of the case will serve as a reflection of the consequences of reckless driving and the importance of taking responsibility for one’s actions on the road.
