Rapper Polo G, real name Taurus Bartlett, was arrested on gun charges in a Manhattan hotel after a maid found a loaded Glock in his room. Bartlett, known for his debut album “Die a Legend,” was arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court on charges of criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm. The gun was discovered at the Dominick Hotel in SoHo, where Bartlett was staying, by a maid cleaning his room.

The gun had a bullet in the chamber and nine bullets in the magazine, according to a criminal complaint. Judge Kevin McGrath ultimately set Polo G’s bail at $25,000 cash, which was posted shortly after the court appearance. Polo G’s attorney did not comment on the outcome of the bail hearing. His debut album “Die A Legend” reached No. 6 on the US Billboard 200 and was certified platinum. He is expected to release his fourth album, “Hood Poet,” later this year after delays following his August 2023 arrest.
