The Real Housewives of Miami’s Guerdy Abraira is getting candid about her mindset after marking a year in cancer remission.
“I’m doing amazing. I’m finding my groove back,” Guerdy, 46, exclusively told Us Weekly on Saturday, November 23, at the Bravo Fan Fest in Miami, Florida. “I’m healthy. This is Guerdy 2.0 in the making.”
Guerdy noted that she’s in her “me era,” adding, “All about me! Selfish.”
Two months after having a routine mammogram, Guerdy shared in May 2023 that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. After undergoing a lumpectomy and chemotherapy, Guerdy was declared cancer-free in November 2023.

While reflecting on her journey with Us, Guerdy shared how her approach to life has been altered since her diagnosis.
“It was actually hard finding my groove back at home because I was laying in bed for so long. Six surgeries later, I literally am just now finding my groove back, and it feels so empowering and amazing,” Guerdy said. “And the holidays are coming, so I’m excited to now go into nesting mode and cook for my family and do all those things that I used to do before my diagnosis.”
Through it all, Guerdy has leaned on her loved ones. “When people rally around you unconditionally, that matters, and so for me, that’s what helped me really catapult into a whole other hemisphere of confidence,” she told Us.
Guerdy gushed that her RHOM costars have “absofreakinlutely” been there for her, calling the group “a sorority of sisters that’s really unbelievable and it’s indescribable. It really is truly amazing.”

Guerdy credited Nicole Martin — who announced her exit from RHOM in September — for sticking by her side through the ups and downs.
“That’s my best friend, and she’s no longer on the cast right now, but she definitely has been there for me, even off camera,” Guerdy said. “We talk every other day, so we’re very happy to still be in contact, and she’s really helped me see the light in my darkest hours.”

As she celebrates the milestone achievement, Guerdy is filming season 7 of RHOM with her costars — and exclusively teased to Us what fans can expect.

“This season is fiery. It’s feisty. It is completely jaw-dropping,” she said. “It really is. Because the things that get revealed, the actions that take place are shocking.”
A premiere date for The Real Housewives of Miami season 7 has yet to be announced.
