Tupac Shakur’s stepbrother, Mopreme Shakur, spoke about the family’s investigation into Sean “Diddy” Combs’ possible involvement in Tupac’s murder during an appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored. The family is seeking justice for Tupac and has been pursuing an investigation for 27 years since his murder in 1996. A suspect, Duane “Keefe D” Davis, was arrested in September 2023, but the murder remains unsolved, with no confirmed suspects or charges against anyone.

Mopreme described Tupac as the “King of Rap” and acknowledged the envy and jealousy that came with his success in the hip-hop world. Despite rumors linking Diddy to the murder, the music mogul has denied any involvement, stating in a 2008 statement that the accusations were false. Mopreme expressed doubts about Diddy’s denial but emphasized his primary focus on seeking justice for Tupac’s untimely death and the ongoing impact on his family.

Mopreme recounted a conversation with Diddy in 2008 where the music mogul denied any involvement in Tupac’s murder. However, Mopreme did not find his denial to be completely honest and suggested that the truth about Diddy’s connection to the case was still unknown. Diddy was arrested in September on charges unrelated to Tupac’s death, including sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all counts and is awaiting trial.

Diddy’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, expressed disappointment with the prosecution’s decision to pursue charges against his client and described Diddy as a music icon, entrepreneur, family man, and philanthropist. Agnifilo emphasized that Diddy has been cooperative with the investigation and voluntarily relocated to New York in anticipation of the charges. Despite being denied bail, Diddy remains committed to defending himself against the charges and maintaining his innocence.

Diddy’s trial is set to begin on May 5, 2025, following the judge’s ruling on the case. Throughout the process, Diddy has maintained his innocence and continues to work towards clearing his name in the face of the legal challenges. The investigation into Tupac’s murder remains ongoing, with Mopreme and the family seeking answers and justice for the loss they have endured over the past 27 years since Tupac’s death.
