Andy Grammer, a singer and musician, revealed that his daughters, Louisiana and Israel, do not consider him to be their favorite artist. Louisiana is a fan of Taylor Swift, while Israel enjoys various types of music. Grammer and Swift have a history, having sung together twice, including at a concert in Chicago in 2015. Despite this, Grammer’s daughters do not fully understand the significance of his collaborations with Swift, as they are still young.

Grammer mentioned that his daughters love to sing and are possibly following in his musical footsteps. He enjoys seeing the joy on their faces when they experience singing with a group of people. While he may not be his daughter’s favorite artist, they do enjoy his music. His new album, “Monster,” is his first in five years and he stated that he is proud of the work he put into creating it. The album reflects personal transitions in his life and he felt the need to share his true self through his music.

The creation of “Monster” was influenced by Grammer’s realization that he was sometimes holding back parts of himself to please others. He believed that sharing deep truths is necessary for growth and progress. He felt that by not expressing his full self, he was hindering his ability to move forward. The album was a way for him to express himself fully, and the process was cathartic for him. He mentioned that the addition of the mandolin to his music played a significant role in the creation of the album.

Despite not being his daughter’s top choice in music, Grammer noted that his daughters have a favorite track on the album, which is “Magic.” He finds joy in knowing that his music resonates with them, even if they may have other preferences. “Monster” was released on October 4th, marking a significant moment in Grammer’s music career after a five-year hiatus. The album showcases his growth as an artist and his willingness to share his innermost feelings through his music.
