The widow of Hamptons real estate magnate Brandon Miller, influencer Candice Miller, was sued by an Upper East Side landlord for failing to pay rent on their $49,000 per month Park Avenue apartment between April and July. Mak Acquisitions filed a lawsuit seeking almost $195,000 in unpaid rent that Candice allegedly skipped out on. Brandon Miller tragically took his own life earlier in the summer when he was struggling with a significant amount of debt. He was found unresponsive in his car in the garage of his Hamptons mansion and later pronounced dead on July 3rd.

The lawsuit against Candice Miller claims that she owes rent for the months between April and July, with the rent totaling $47,000 for the first two months before increasing to $49,000. While she agreed to vacate the apartment at the end of August, she only owes $2,000 for that month as Mak Acquisitions retained her security deposit. Overall, Candice is being sued for a total of $194,881. She relocated to a Miami condo with her two daughters in August, following the decision to leave their Park Avenue residence.

Despite the seemingly luxurious lifestyle that Candice and Brandon Miller appeared to lead, it was later revealed that Brandon was deeply in debt. The principal at Real Estate Equity Corporation was nearly $34 million in debt with only $8,000 in his bank account at the time of his death. Candice, known for her lifestyle and mommy blog Mama & Tata, and her presence in the Hamptons social scene, put their debt-ridden mansion on Long Island up for sale in August. It was a shocking revelation considering the image they had portrayed to the public.

No immediate comments were available from lawyers representing both Candice Miller and Mak Acquisitions. The lawsuit against Candice highlights the financial troubles that plagued the couple, ultimately leading to Brandon’s tragic death. The legal action seeks to recover the unpaid rent from the Park Avenue apartment, potentially shedding more light on the true financial situation that Candice and Brandon Miller were facing. The lawsuit reflects a stark contrast between the glamorous facade they projected and the harsh reality of their financial struggles.
