Reality TV star Jax Taylor recently shared a candid update on his mental health with fans on Instagram. He revealed that during his time at an intensive inpatient treatment facility over a month ago, he was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder and PTSD. Bipolar disorder is a condition that causes extreme mood swings, while PTSD can occur after experiencing a shocking or scary event. Although Taylor did not go into details about his diagnoses, he shared that it has been an emotional time for him but he has come home to his son with a new sense of peace.

Taylor shares his three-year-old son Cruz with his wife Brittany Cartwright, who filed for divorce from him on August 27. The couple’s relationship has been documented on various reality TV shows, including “Vanderpump Rules” and “The Valley.” Despite facing challenges in his personal life, Taylor expressed that he is focusing on becoming a better version of himself every day. He emphasized the importance of not letting mental health issues control one’s life but learning to control them instead. Taylor thanked his fans for their support and for sharing their own struggles with him.

In August, People reported that Taylor was preparing to leave the treatment center he had checked into in July. Along with Cartwright, Taylor was part of the cast of “The Valley,” which also included other members such as Kristen Doute, Luke Broderick, and Nia Booko. The show has started filming its second season, with the cast spotted filming at Jax’s Studio City bar in California, which was temporarily rebranded as “Britt’s.” Cartwright posted about the rebrand on her Instagram, sharing photos of herself and Cruz together.

Despite the challenges he is facing, Taylor is focusing on his journey to better mental health and finding peace within himself. He acknowledged that mental health is a lifelong battle, and he is determined to not let it control him. Taylor’s openness about his struggles has resonated with many fans who have shared their own experiences with him. While he admitted to being scared for the future, his main goal is to continue striving to improve himself each day. As he navigates through his personal and mental health struggles, Taylor is grateful for the support he has received from those around him.
