Some of the nation’s wealthiest individuals are supporting Donald Trump’s bid to return to the White House in the upcoming election. His 26 biggest billionaire backers, worth a combined $143 billion, have already poured $162 million into the effort so far. Despite Trump’s rhetoric about being a leader who stands up for American companies and industry, many of his top billionaire donors come from the finance, oil and gas, and casino industries. However, there is a distinction between multinational corporations and American companies, as many of Trump’s top donors have built their own billion-dollar empires in the U.S.

Several new additions have risen in the ranks of Trump’s top billionaire backers, including Miriam Adelson and Jeff Sprecher, who have climbed into the top 10. Adelson, the widow of casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, has donated over $5.8 million to pro-Trump groups so far. The newly-launched America PAC, which Elon Musk reportedly helped start, has also received contributions from five of these donors. While Musk himself has not yet made the list, his longtime friend and investor Antonio Gracias has already donated $1 million to the super PAC.

Notable donors on the list include Linda McMahon, spouse of Vince McMahon of World Wrestling Entertainment fame, who has donated $16 million to Trump groups. Diane Hendricks, America’s richest self-made woman, has given over $6.3 million to support Trump. Other donors include Kelcy Warren, Timothy Dunn, and the Uihlein couple, who have all contributed significant amounts to pro-Trump PACs and committees. These donors represent a mix of industries and backgrounds, with some being heirs to large fortunes and others self-made billionaires.

The list of Trump’s top billionaire backers also includes individuals like Roger Penske, Steve Wynn, and Richard Kurtz, who have each donated over $1 million to support Trump’s campaign. Some donors, like Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, are newcomers to the MAGA fold and represent a new wave of tech and crypto enthusiast Trump supporters. Despite controversies and legal issues surrounding some donors, such as Geoffrey Palmer, the support for Trump’s reelection campaign remains strong among these wealthy individuals.

Overall, Trump’s top billionaire backers have contributed significant sums to pro-Trump PACs and committees, demonstrating their commitment to supporting his bid for the White House in the upcoming election. Their donations, totaling over $162 million, reflect a mix of industries, backgrounds, and motivations among some of the nation’s wealthiest individuals. As the election year progresses, it is likely that more donations will flow in to support Trump’s campaign as he aims to secure another term in the White House.
