The video posted by Trump’s X account included clips of Trump supporters and moments from his time at the White House with former First Lady Melania Trump. Interestingly, the ad did not mention Trump’s opponent Kamala Harris or any references to the Democratic Party. Trump’s subsequent posts within an hour included statements questioning the state of the nation after his presidency and expressing his desire to make America great again by focusing on economic prosperity, border security, and safety for all citizens.
The former president’s last post on X before his recent return was in August of 2023, featuring a picture of his mugshot after being indicted in Georgia’s racketeering case. Two of the posts that led to his suspension included asserting his supporters will have a “giant voice” and stating he would not attend the inauguration on January 20th. Musk reinstated Trump’s account after taking over X in 2022, but the former president decided to continue posting on his own social media platform, Truth Social, until now.
