The popular game Fortnite is receiving a summer update on June 22, which will introduce a new game mode called Reload that takes players back to the original Tilted Towers map. Epic Games announced this new mode with a teaser video and will premiere the launch trailer on June 22 at midnight ET. Alongside Tilted Towers, other classic Fortnite locations such as Pleasant Park, Lil’ Loot Lake, and Retail Row will also be returning in the new game mode. Players will explore the OG map while playing in Reload, which allows respawning as long as a squad-mate is alive, similar to Call of Duty: Warzone’s Resurgence game mode.

The new game mode is scheduled to release on June 22, marking the return of Tilted Towers after half a year since it was last seen by players. This update is part of Chapter 4: Season OG, which runs from November 3, 2023, until December 2. During this season, players can travel back in time to Chapter 1 and experience moments from Season 5 through Season X. The OG Fortnite map and the new Reload mode will not replace any existing game modes, allowing players to engage with the new additions without losing any content. Speculations about the loot pool in Reload suggest that it will likely feature OG Fortnite items, similar to previous seasons.

The teaser trailer for Fortnite’s summer update revealed the return of Tilted Towers and various other points of interest from the original map. Along with Tilted Towers, locations like Pleasant Park, Lil’ Loot Lake, Retail Row, Lazy Laps, and Sandy Sheets will be part of the new game mode Reload. The premise of Reload is similar to the regular battle royale mode, but with respawning available as long as one squad member is alive, mimicking the Resurgence game mode in Call of Duty: Warzone. Players are excited about revisiting these classic locations and experiencing the nostalgic feel of the OG Fortnite map through Reload.

Players are advised to set aside time for gaming as they delve into the new game mode Reload on June 22. The announcement of the all-new mode was made through Epic Games on June 21, with the release scheduled for the following day. As players prepare to explore the OG Fortnite map, they anticipate encountering familiar landmarks and engaging in battles within the nostalgic setting of Tilted Towers and other classic locations. The summer update brings a fresh and exciting experience to Fortnite fans, allowing them to enjoy the game’s new additions while retaining access to existing gameplay modes.
