At the SAP Sapphire event, industry-leading companies discussed how they are leveraging SAP technology to deliver high-value results for their businesses. SAP Executive Board Members Scott Russell and Thomas Saueressig highlighted the importance of customer stories and conversations at the event, showcasing SAP’s commitment to innovation and bringing creative value to businesses. An announcement was made regarding SAP’s agreement to acquire WalkMe, a digital adoption platform leader, showcasing SAP’s dedication to enhancing transformation journeys for businesses.

Russell emphasized the significance of cloud adoption, with over 6,000 customers already moving to RISE with SAP and over 1,000 customers going live in the last 12 months. PureTech Scientific LLC, a global leader in glycolic acid production, shared their success story of transitioning to SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition in just 15 weeks, enabling scalability and rapid implementation without the need for an internal IT team. The company’s CIO, Brian Hardee, highlighted the importance of utilizing SAP’s toolset and signing up for the SAP Preferred Success program for a successful project.

Tropicana Brands Group, a recent spin-off, relied on RISE with SAP for its IT separation and transformation project, emphasizing the need for agility and time in their business operations. Jeff Lischett, the CIO of Tropicana Brands Group, shared insights on the project’s successful execution, emphasizing the value of leaner, simpler, and more streamlined ways of working with modern ERP solutions. The company was able to go live on SAP within 11 months for their European operations and three months later in North America, showcasing the project’s impact on their growth ambitions.

Fresenius SE, a global healthcare conglomerate, underwent a transformation project to standardize its business processes by migrating 29 system landscapes with more than 134 systems within 15 months. Ingo Elfering, CIO of Fresenius, shared the challenges and benefits of the project, emphasizing the need for a cleaner core and unified system for ongoing success. Elfering also highlighted the potential of AI in the healthcare industry and the importance of cloud-based infrastructure for data-rich insights.

Hitachi High-Tech Corporation adopted SAP S/4HANA to simplify its business processes and digitize its management information, reducing its add-ons from 9,000 to 750 for easier upgrades and better system performance. Sakai, the general manager of the Digital Transformation Business Group at Hitachi High-Tech, emphasized the importance of a clean core for continuous innovation and upgrade readiness. SAP is focused on supporting businesses in their transformation journeys and accelerating time-to-value, providing holistic solutions to drive innovation adoption and achieve agility at scale across the entire value chain.
