Billor, a company aiming to democratize the trucking business for drivers, has officially launched after a year of operating in stealth. The company’s goal is to attract new drivers and retain current ones by offering services that provide less travel, less stress, and steadier schedules. Billor offers a lease-to-own option for truck drivers, allowing them to own their rig at the end of a leasing period without any down payment or residual costs. The company purchases three-year-old trucks from Freightliner dealers to keep costs down while offering vehicles that are still in good shape.

In addition to leasing options, Billor provides various services for truckers, including financial services, freight management, and their artificial intelligence tool, Billor CoPilot. This tool, which uses machine learning and AI, helps drivers make more money and improve their quality of life through better scheduling, vehicle maintenance, and travel needs. One of the unique features of the tool is the ability to guide drivers to locations that align with their desired schedule and income goals.

While there is a 14% cost associated with joining Billor, the company does not charge for dispatching or factoring fees. Currently, Billor has about 130 member drivers with plans to increase that number to 300 by the end of the year and 5,000 by 2028. One driver, Douglas Amorim, shared his positive experience with Billor, noting that the platform has allowed him to make over $3,000 net per week and fulfill dreams like purchasing his first house in the U.S. The wide menu of services provided by Billor, including the CoPilot tool and lease-to-own program, aims to retain drivers by offering sufficient support.

To attract new drivers, Billor utilizes a sales team, word-of-mouth marketing through current driver social media channels, and training through Billor Academy. The academy is open not only to recent CDL graduates in the U.S. but also to drivers from other countries seeking to earn their U.S. CDLs. As the company continues to grow, CEO Vincent Goetten emphasizes the importance of assembling the right team to support their expansion, especially as they aim to increase their fleet from three trucks to 800 next year. Overall, with the launch of the AI tool and lease-to-own program, Billor is positioned to create opportunities for both new and experienced truck drivers in the industry.
