A new Museum of Illusions location is set to open in downtown Seattle, offering interactive rooms and displays to attract visitors. The museum, known for its holograms and illusion rooms, will feature unique installations such as a “Vortex Tunnel,” an anti-gravity room, and a walk-in kaleidoscope. Special exhibits for the Seattle location include the “Reversed Room” and “Building Illusion,” where visitors can experience levitation or hanging from a building.

Founded in Zagreb, Croatia in 2015, Museum of Illusions has quickly expanded to over 50 locations in 25 countries, attracting more than 15 million visitors worldwide. The museum aims to puzzle perceptions, fool senses, and stimulate curiosity while educating visitors about the science behind illusions, offering a blend of art, science, and psychology. The Seattle location will provide a family-friendly environment for visitors to explore and experience a variety of mind-bending illusions.

Located in the historic Skinner Building, which is also home to the 5th Avenue Theatre, the Museum of Illusions in Seattle will offer 9,000 square feet of interactive exhibits for visitors to enjoy. With tickets starting at $27, the museum welcomes walk-ins but encourages visitors to reserve tickets online. The museum joins other interactive entertainment entities in downtown Seattle, such as the WNDR Museum along the waterfront, which closed before the end of the year after offering immersive multi-sensory experiences.

In addition to the Museum of Illusions, other interactive spaces in Seattle have included attractions like “Stranger Things: The Experience” and “Tomb Raider Experience Seattle,” which have sought to engage fans of popular TV shows and video games. These interactive experiences aim to bring entertainment and engagement to the city’s core, attracting visitors and locals alike. Whether it’s levitating in an anti-gravity room or experiencing the thrill of walking through a kaleidoscope, the Museum of Illusions in Seattle promises to offer a unique and captivating experience for all ages.
