Rapper and producer 50 Cent has responded to Eminem’s recent revelation during an appearance on DJ Whoo Kidd’s podcast that he is open to recording an album with 50 Cent in the future. While the two hip-hop stars have collaborated on various projects in the past, they have never exclusively recorded an album together. Eminem expressed enthusiasm about the possibility of working on an album with 50 Cent, stating that it would be great and that they just need to stop the nonsense and make it happen. Following this interview, 50 Cent took to social media to share the news and hinted at a return to the recording booth after completing a residency in Las Vegas.

The collaboration between Eminem and 50 Cent goes beyond just music, as the two have shared the stage on multiple occasions. Notably, when Eminem co-headlined the Super Bowl halftime show in 2022, 50 Cent also performed alongside him. Additionally, Eminem made a cameo appearance on 50 Cent’s Starz series BMF in 2021. Their professional relationship extends beyond music, as evident in their joint ventures in television and film. 50 Cent mentioned in January 2023 that he and Eminem have a project in motion to develop a modern version of the hit movie 8 Mile for the small screen to honor Eminem’s legacy and ensure that audiences understand his importance in the industry.

50 Cent’s residency in Las Vegas is set to take place at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino’s PH Live from December 27 to January 4, 2025. This venture marks his entry into the realm of musicians who have held residencies in the gambling haven of Las Vegas. Despite his brief stint in Vegas, 50 Cent appears excited to return to the recording booth following the unveiling of Eminem’s willingness to collaborate on an album. The pair’s history of collaboration and shared stage experiences suggest that a musical project between them could be highly anticipated and well-received by fans.

Eminem’s rise to fame followed the release of his debut album The Slim Shady LP in 1999, which garnered critical acclaim and propelled him to stardom. 50 Cent’s debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin’, executive produced by Eminem, also enjoyed immense success upon its release in 2003. The two artists have a longstanding professional relationship, with 50 Cent initially signed to Eminem’s Shady Records label at the start of his career. This history of collaboration and mutual support has laid the foundation for potential projects in the future, including the possibility of recording a full-length album together.

50 Cent and Eminem’s partnership extends beyond music, as evidenced by their joint ventures in television series and film projects. Their shared experience of working together on various creative endeavors suggests a strong bond that transcends their individual success. The news of a potential collaboration on an album between the two hip-hop icons has sparked excitement among fans and industry insiders alike. With both artists expressing their enthusiasm for the project, it remains to be seen when they will officially hit the recording studio together and what musical magic they will create for their audiences to enjoy.
