Georgia, California, and Tennessee have introduced bills and laws to regulate the use of AI, such as banning deepfakes for political messaging and protecting musicians’ voices from unauthorized clones.
California’s Privacy Protection Agency proposed rules for businesses using AI and collecting personal information, while Tennessee passed the ELVIS Act to protect musicians from AI misuse. Companies like Splice and Soundful have used AI to create songs and beats, while controversial AI voice-cloning tools have mimicked superstar artists.
