Vice President Kamala Harris is leading former President Donald Trump in six out of seven swing states as they head into the final stretch of Election Day with no clear leader, according to recent polls. In Pennsylvania, Harris is up five points, while in Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, and Nevada, she leads by three to seven points. In Georgia, they are tied, and in North Carolina, Harris leads by two points. The polls show a close race between Harris and Trump in the key battleground states.

The national polling average shows Harris leading Trump by two points, and demographics such as younger, non-white, and female voters are showing more support for Harris. A recent New York Times survey indicated that Harris has the backing of 84% of Black voters, a higher share of support than Biden had before dropping out of the race in July. These demographics are crucial in determining the outcome of the election.

Former Vice President Joe Biden dropped out of the race on July 21, despite initially insisting he would continue his campaign. He endorsed Harris, who officially became the nominee in early August after receiving overwhelming support from delegates in a virtual roll call. Polls consistently showed that Trump would beat Biden in most battleground states before Biden’s withdrawal from the race, despite Biden winning six out of the seven states in the 2020 election.

The latest polls show a tight race between Harris and Trump in key swing states, with Harris leading in most of them. Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, and Nevada are leaning towards Harris, while Georgia and North Carolina remain closely contested. The demographics supporting Harris, including younger, non-white, and female voters, could play a crucial role in determining the outcome of the election.

Both Harris and Trump are actively campaigning in these swing states, trying to shore up support and swing undecided voters in their favor. With Election Day fast approaching, the race between Harris and Trump in the battleground states remains a close one. The polls suggest that a clear leader has yet to emerge, and the final outcome could hinge on voter turnout and the preferences of key demographic groups. The results of the election in these swing states will be crucial in determining the next President of the United States.
